Everything you need to Know for your First Bungee Jump

When most people sit down to start compiling a bucket list, there are a couple of things that nearly always end up featuring on these lists. From getting married and having children to having a successful career and travelling the world, there are always those few staple items that the majority of people aspire towards.

However, for adrenaline junkies and thrill seekers, there is another popular activity that regularly finds its way onto bucket lists: The Bungee Jump.

The humble yet exhilarating bungee jump is one of those things that lots of people want to give a go at least once in their lifetime. Unusual experience days, culminating in finally taking that leap of faith with a bungee jump, are the perfect way to introduce a little more excitement and adventure into your daily life.

If you are thinking of doing a bungee jump but want to get to grips with all the ins and outs first, we have put together a quick list of the most important things you need to know about bungee jumping.

Using Unusual Experience Days to Overcome Fear

A lot of people decide to go bungee jumping purely for the ability to say that they have managed to overcome their fear and do something that scares them. For those who have a fear of heights, bungee jumping can be a great way to overcome that mental block and face their fears head-on.

If you do have a fear of heights or are scared of completing the jump, we advise you to let your instructor know beforehand as they may be able to offer you some tips to help you go through with the jump and conquer your fear.

Ignore the Myths

As with any extreme sport, there are always going to be a number of urban myths surrounding bungee jumping. We can tell you - first hand from our fully-qualified, experienced instructors -  that these are just nothing more than ridiculous myths without an ounce of truth to them. No, your back won’t snap, and no, your eyes won’t fall out of your head!

Trust your Instructor

Believe us, instructors don’t get to be instructors without a good reason. All of our instructors are fully trained and have extensive bungee jumping experience. They will take you through comprehensive safety training before your jump, so it’s important that you listen and remember what they tell you. And the most important thing? When they say jump, jump!

Make Sure you’re Comfortable

You want to be comfortable when completing your jump, so make sure to wear your comfiest clothing. Loose t-shirts and leggings are in, skirts and heels are definitely out!

If we have got you convinced, check out the wide range of unusual experience days and bungee jumping activities and opportunities that we have on offer. Choose a variation that suits you at one of the many locations across the UK which we work from, and book your bungee jumping experience today.
